Jakartans Invited to Clean Kota Tua in New Year

Various ways are done to welcome and enliven the new year of 2015. Particularly for Jakarta Cleanliness Department, they will hold cleaning activity in Kota Tua area right on January 1, 2015.

There are about 250 Jakartans would take action in this activity

Some communities, such as scout, youth organization (karang taruna), Koko Cici West Jakarta, Abang None Jakarta, et cetera, will be involved in this activity that took a theme of ‘2015 New Year’ and ‘Cleaning Kota Tua’.

Free Wi-Fi in Kota Tua will Be Added

“There are about 250 Jakartans would take action in this activity. We’re still discussing about the cleanliness officers to be deployed, but we will act all out in cleaning Kota Tua area,” stated Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Isnawa Adji, Sunday (12/7).

Later, Adjie continued, this activity will be held routinely every new year. Thus, Kota Tua would be absolutely free from trash.

“We will make this activity as a routine agenda every new year,” he asserted.

Besides the communities mentioned above, Adji told that his department will also invite related institutions, such as Tourism Ministry, to take part.

“We will also invite Onthel Bicycle Community, Kota Tua Gemeinschaft, and institutions related to Kota Tua,” he uttered.
