Jakarta - Ricma and Warta Jazz Holds Ramadan Jazz Festival at Lapangan Banteng

The Jakarta Government in collaboration with Cut Meutia Mosque Islamic Youth (Ricma) and Warta Jazz hold the Ramadan Jazz Festival (RJF) at Lapangan Banteng, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (4/16).

It is held to encourage teenagers to go to the mosque

RJF Project Officer Wildan Anugrah Hanafiah said the event which started at 15:30 enlivened with jazz musical performances to entertain people while waiting for breaking their fast.

"It is held to encourage teenagers to go to the mosque," he conveyed, Saturday (4/16).

Apart from jazz musical performances, there were also singers, namely Teddy Adhitia, SIVIA, Risty Tagor, Nadhif Basalamah, Diffa Chandra, and Mark Natama. Each singer was also required to sing religious and national songs.

"Visitors can listen to the music while waiting for iftar by shopping culinary dishes at MSME bazaar at the location," he mentioned.

It was also held to inform people about the RJF peak event that would be held at Cut Meutia Mosque courtyard from April 22 to 23, 2022.

"Visitors who attend the event will be charged with a donation of Rp 80-120,000," he explained.

Shifa Safitri (23), a South Jakarta resident appreciated the RJF committee for holding an event for young people who want to learn more about Islam.

"It is very creative. It would be better to hold it every year if possible," she expressed.
