JIS Provides Easy Access Facilities for Disabled Persons

Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) provides easy access for people with disabilities.

Andri (29), a PSAI (Indonesian Amputation Football Association) player, admitted that he enjoyed the disability facilities at JIS, from road access, comfortable toilets for the disabled, and a special place in the spectator stands for disabled persons.

"In my opinion, JIS provides special and very good facilities for persons with disabilities," he conveyed, Wednesday (4/20).

He expressed his desire to play and train in JIS fields, especially now that PSAI is preparing to compete in the world cup event in Turkey.

The same statement also came out from Aulia Amin (38), a wheelchair bowling player. He assessed the JIS building provided many disabled-friendly facilities.

According to him, the disabled-friendly facilities in JIS were not much different from other international stadiums in the world.

"I've watched NBA games at Quicken Loans, USA where the facilities for disabled persons are not much different from JIS," he said.

On the other hand, Alvius Santo (42), a wheelchair badminton coach and assistant also expressed his pride in JIS. He stated that JIS deserved to be an international standard stadium for the pride of Jakarta citizens.

"When I was invited to watch IYC 2022 final match, I was very enthusiastic. Moreover, the athletes also felt happy to be able to come to JIS since it was very limited," he mentioned.
