The South Jakarta Culture Sub-agency opens a Betawi dance training at the South Jakarta Cultural Arts Training Center (PPSB), Jalan Asem Baris, Tebet. It aims to preserve Betawi culture following Bylaw Number 4/2015 on Preservation of Betawi Culture.

South Jakarta Culture Sub-agency Head Puspla Dirdjaja stated there were about 30 participants aged at least 15.

"After the training, we'll hold an art performance to allow them to present the results of the Betawi dance practice," he stated.
