Five Batik Brands Show Off Their Products at Cerita Jakarta Fashion Show

The five well-known batik brands showcased their products at the Cerita Jakarta Fashion Show which took place on the 3rd floor of Sky Deck, Sarinah Building, Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta. The event is also a part of the Cerita Jakarta Exhibition.

We expect this collaborative work can help Jakpreneurs to level up

Those five batik brands were Chick, LMW, Cherali, Batik Nyonya, and Batik Marunda. Various batik clothes for men and women were displayed in the fashion show.

Jakarta Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) Chairperson Fery Farhati mentioned that the Cerita Jakarta Fashion Show is a series of events to celebrate Jakarta's 495th anniversary. It is held in line with the spirit of Jakarta as a city of collaboration, acceleration, and elevation.

"We are from Dekranasda and Jakpreneurs celebrate Jakarta's anniversary by displaying batik products here," she expressed, Saturday (6/25).

According to her, the new batik clothes showcased by each brand had unique designs. Therefore, she encouraged people to attend the event for getting beautiful batik collections from those five brands.

Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, Small Medium Enterprise (PPKUKM) Agency Head Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo appreciated the Sarinah building management for supporting the batik fashion show and exhibition. The Cerita Jakarta Exhibition itself has been going on since June 22 and will end on July 22, 2022.

"We expect this collaborative work can help Jakpreneurs to level up," she conveyed.
