Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of July 3

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of July 3, 2022.

3T efforts continue to be intensified

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated that the number of active cases in Jakarta today decreased by 285 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 9,078 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

"Meanwhile, 3T efforts continue to be intensified, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination which is also still ongoing with a wider scope," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Sunday (7/3).

Latest Data on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of July 2, 2022

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 10,749 specimens. 9,452 of them were to diagnose new cases with 931 positive and 8,521 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 7,952 were tested, with 338 positive results and 7,614 negative results.

She furthered the WHO test target is 1,000 people tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week.

"This target has been surpassed by Jakarta for some time. The number of people tested last week has reached 68,706, while 1,042,207 people have undergone the PCR tests," she added.

Of these cases, 1,248,357 people have been cured with a cure rate of 98.1%, and 15,320 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.2%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.6%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 10.9%, while in Indonesia was 11.5%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

For the vaccination program, the current total dose of 1 is 12,559,718 people (124.6%), with a proportion of 70.5% residents with Jakarta ID cards and 29.5% residents with non-Jakarta ID cards. The number of people who were vaccinated with the 1-day dose was 246 people.

The total vaccination dose 2 now reached 10,734,685 people (106.45%), with a proportion of 73.9% residents of Jakarta and 26.1% non-residents of Jakarta. The number of people being vaccinated on the 2-day dose was 505 people.

As for the third dose (booster) vaccination was also carried out. The updated total third dose was 4,089,487 people and the number of people who get vaccinated with the 3-day dose was 3,898 people (Note: data on the number of vaccinations for the third dose was recorded to be lower due to difficulties in retrieving data from the KPCPEN dashboard.

To get the vaccine, residents can go to the vaccination site. However, to speed up vaccination, they must register online via the JAKI app or corona.jakarta.go.id/vaksinasi. By registering online, they may choose the schedule and place of vaccination themselves, as well as be able to pre-screening online tests.
