Transjakarta Returns to Operate Female-Only Buses in Corridor 3

The Jakarta city administration through its city bus management company, PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has finally returned to operating female-only buses in the capital.

The bus, which is dominated by pink colors, is effective in serving customers starting today.

Transjakarta Secretary Division Head Anang Rizkani Noor said the operation of the pink bus is a form of the company's commitment to providing safe and comfortable services, especially for female customers.

“Customer comfort is our top priority, where it aims to minimize levels of sexual harassment on public transportation," he expressed, Monday (7/25).

He mentioned that the bus serves Corridor 3 (Pasar Baru - Kalideres) with operating hours from 5 AM to10 PM with a regular fare of Rp 3,500.

The pink bus fleet would be added gradually. Customers are required to tap in and out the Electronic Money Card (KUE) at the gate stop.

"Our officers are ready to assist passengers. Those in charge are women,” he stated.
