Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of August 4

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of August 4, 2022.

3T efforts continue to be intensified

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated that the number of active cases in Jakarta today decreased by 1,036 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 21,419 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

"Meanwhile, 3T efforts continue to be intensified, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination which is also still ongoing with a wider scope," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Thursday (8/4).

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 20,400 specimens. 18,094 of them were to diagnose new cases with 2,814 positive and 15,280 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 22,306 were tested, with 1,443 positive results and 20,863 negative results.

Of the total number of positive cases, 1,302,829 people have been cured with a cure rate of 97.3%, and 15,414 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.2%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.5%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 16.2%, while in Indonesia was 11.6%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

For the vaccination program, the current total dose of 1 is 12,605,249 people (125%), with a proportion of 70.6% residents with Jakarta ID cards and 29.4% residents with non-Jakarta ID cards. The number of people who were vaccinated with the 1-day dose was 1,776 people.

The total vaccination dose 2 now reached 10,766,430 people (106.8%), with a proportion of 74% residents of Jakarta and 26% non-residents of Jakarta. The number of people being vaccinated on the 2-day dose was 1,254 people.

As for the third dose (booster) vaccination was also carried out. The updated total third dose was 4,620,061 people and the number of people who get vaccinated with the 3-day dose was 18,286 people (Note: data on the number of vaccinations for the third dose was recorded to be lower due to difficulties in retrieving data from the KPCPEN dashboard.

The Jakarta administration urges residents to always wear masks when outside the house, especially in public places. They are also urged to immediately complete the COVID-19 vaccination with a booster.

To get the vaccine, residents can go to the vaccination site. However, to speed up vaccination, they must register online via the JAKI app or corona.jakarta.go.id/vaksinasi. By registering online, they may choose the schedule and place of vaccination themselves, as well as be able to pre-screening online tests.

To find vaccination centers, you can access the Google Maps application, by writing "vaksin COVID-19".
