Djarot Akui Tak Akan Anakemaskan BUMD

Bad Performance BUMD won't Get Fund

Some provincial-owned enterprises (BUMD) have filed the government investment participation (PMP). However, Jakarta government will be more careful with the request. In fact, for underperformed BUMD certainly will not get the facility.

The PMP needs our evaluation, we do not want to spoil and favors enterprises that are unprofessional

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat said, if the BUMD performance is not good, then the PMP will be studied first. Is it the demand for developing the companies or just a simply request.

"It is necessary to evaluate what needs to be in the presence of PMP. Will it develops its functions, or it just simply indulges. The PMP needs our evaluation, we do not want to spoil and favors enterprises that are unprofessional," said Djarot, at Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (1/14).

BUMD Bylaw Ratification Meeting only Attended by 41 DPRD Members

There only three enterprises that will get the PMP in 2015 City Budget Draft. All of them are PT MRT Jakarta of Rp 4.6 trillion, BUMD TransJakarta Rp 500 billion, and DKI Bank Rp 500 billion. In fact, there are 14 enterprises that previously filed in this PMP, such as PT Jakarta Propertindo, PD Pengelolaan Air Limbah (PAL) Jaya, PD Pasar Jaya, PT Jakarta Tourisindo, PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, PT Penjamin Kredit Daerah, PD Dharma Jaya, PT food Station Tjipinang, PT Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara, and PT Perusahaan Air Minum (PAM) Jaya.

According to the former Mayor of Blitar, each BUMD are really having different problems. However, BUMD should not only think about profit, but they also must support public services that undertaken by the city government. "Enterprises not always 100 percent full of business, but also work of social charges, social responsibility that should be considered," he added.

Nevertheless he was reluctant to disclose any enterprises are often filed PMP, but have no significant progress.
