Ahok Formed a Partnership with TNI

Jakarta Provincial Government through Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama attended a ceremony with Indonesian Military (TNI) and City Police at the TNI Marine Commando Headquarter, Jalan Cilandak KKO, South Jakarta, Monday (1/19). It is an initial step to tighten the solidarity and cooperation to always in synergy, especially to face disaster.

"We want to prepare the disaster anticipation, river cleaning, and reservoir construction," expressed Ahok after he attended the ceremony.

From discussion with TNI Navy, according to Ahok, there is a discourse about reservoir construction. "The marine said there is a land for reservoir project, and I've instructed the Head of Water Management Department to prepare it," he said.

Jakarta Cooperate with TNI to Handle Ciliwung

He furthered, such coordination is in accordance with the instruction of Political, Legal, and Security Minister associated with discipline corps in carrying out the respective duties. The declaration was conceived to discipline. "We want the people can discipline in traffic, including street vendors, trash, and residential," he disclosed.

"That means, we're continuing to coordinate, and personnel will also be more familiar and intimate each other," he exclaimed.

The ceremony itself was led by Commander of TNI Navy Marine Corps, Maj. Gen. A Fariz Washington, and attended by TNI personnel from various units plus police and Jakarta Transportation Department, as well as Satpol PP. 

On that occasion, he said cooperation among institutions is very important. "Not only for security and order, we establish cooperation with the police and Jakarta government ranks in anticipation of disaster," he said.
