Satpol PP Intensifies Patrols in Danau Sunter

Around 100 joint personnel of Satpol PP and army/police have been deployed to intensify patrols in Danau 'lake' Sunter area, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. It is done to anticipate illegal street racing, illegal parking, and street vendor (PKL) on the east and west sides of the lake area.

If violations are found, officers will immediately take action according to applicable regulations

North Jakarta Satpol PP Head Yusuf Madjid said the patrols in Danau Sunter have been conducted since last weekend.

"Danau Sunter is a superior location and a favorite place for the people of North Jakarta to travel or exercise. That's why the factors of cleanliness, and beauty must always be maintained and become a shared responsibility," he expressed, Thursday (9/1).

Starting this week, he asserted the patrols would be intensified every day. But it is still under the socialization stage. Residents and street vendors who violate the rules would be given warnings and socialization of the rules

He added that personnel would clean the Danau Sunter from street vendors every day from 8 AM to 11 AM and 8 PM to 11 PM. Then it would be continued with patrols from 1 AM to 5 AM at illegal street racing-prone areas.

"If violations are found, officers will immediately take action according to applicable regulations," he stated.
