We received seven new generators from BNPB
Sooner or later, the flood-prone areas in West Jakarta would have seven new generators from National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB). That means the rotating blackouts that commonly happens in such areas during flood will not happen again.
According to Firmanudin, Head of West Jakarta Region Disaster Mitigation disclosed from seven generators, one of them will be installed in Green Garden, Kedoya Utara, Kebon Jeruk. And another one in Palmerah Sub-District, precisely in futsal indoor of Kota Bambu Selatan Urban Village.
East Jakarta to Set Up 5 Healthcare Posts in Flood-Prone AreasWhile the rest are spread in five urban villages in Cengkareng, Cengkareng Sub-District, such as Al-Anshor Mosque in Cengkareng Barat Urban Village, in office of Duri Kosambi Urban Village, in STT Telkom Kedaung Kali Angke Urban Village, Street Vendors Pasar Sentra Rawa Buaya Urban Village, and in office of Kapuk Urban Village.
"We received seven new generators from BNPB,” told former Secretary of Cengkareng Sub-District, Friday (1/23).
He admitted most generators were distributed to Cengkareng Sub-District, because it is extremely vulnerable to flooding compared to other areas.
"Cengkareng area is categorized as prone to flooding, with water level 3 meters," he told.
