Today, Collapsed Road Repairs in Cilangkap Completed

If it is ignored, the damage will get worse

The 10-meter-long collapsed road repair in RT 07/02 Cilangkap Urban Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta carried out by PPSU personnel on Saturday (11/12) is targeted for completion today, Monday (11/14).

Cilangkap Urban Village Economic and Development Division Head, Sumarmi said the road repair used river stone material and cemented it on top to make it sturdy.

"The materials are from the sub-district and self-supporting residents," he expressed.

According to him, the road collapsed after a truck carrying groceries got stuck at the scene. Together with locals, they intended to conduct repairs in order to prevent unwanted things at a later time.

"Moreover, Jalan Basuki is the main access for residents of RW 02 and 06 who will go to Jalan Raya Cilangkap," he explained.

RT 07/02 Cilangkap Chairman, Edy Suhendra expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the urban village officials who responded quickly to this incident.

"Locals also participated in preparing the materials. If it is ignored, the damage will get worse. Especially at this time of the rainy season and the water discharge from the channel beside the road often overflows," he closed.
