The Jakarta Provincial Government continues to improve services to its residents. In terms of proposing birth certificates for instance, the Government has a standard service time standard that is only 15 minutes. The process is easy and free.

North Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Sub-agency Head, Edward Idris explained that residents who need birth certificate services can be done in two ways. The first is by coming to the Dukcapil Agency Service unit in the urban village office and the second is via ALPUKAT Betawi application that can be downloaded through Playstore.

"The one who has to come to propose is the family head. If all the requirements are complete and we can finish the process in only 15 minutes," he expressed, Friday (12/16).

Requirements that must be met are, including the Family Card (KK) and Parent's e-KTP (electronic ID card), Parents' Marriage Book, Born Certificate from a doctor/midwife/hospital or a photocopy of two witnesses. If the requirements are complete, the file submission will be processed according to the applicable rules.

The submission file is included for children who were born more than 60 days and so on. It is because according to the previous rules, the child birth certificate must be proposed before 60 days after birth.

As for those who are busy or do not have time to come to the service counter, they can propose the certificate via the ALPUKAT Betawi application. If it is done online or via application, they must attach the requirements needed digitally.

This application can be accessed via an Android mobile phone and each application only applies to one user ID according to the registered email address. The process via the application according to the rules is no later than two days.

However, if the document is still incomplete, they will be directed to fill out the Absolute Responsibility Letter (SPTJM) form.
