JPS Hopes Free Mudik Trips Run Smoothly

Jakarta Public Service (JPS) Executive Director, Mohammad Syaiful Jihad hopes that the free mudik exodus program initiated by Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) can run smoothly and be successful.

This program is actually very good and is needed by the community

According to him, this free mudik program is very helpful for the community, especially now that it is still in the economic recovery period since the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This program is actually very good and is needed by the community. It is proven, on one day the registration of participants has boomed or exceeded the quota of 19,280 people," he expressed, Friday (4/14).

He explained it must be able to give a good impression to residents by bringing comfort, safety, and joy to residents.

"Optimal preparation and service are needed. I appreciate the Jakarta Provincial Government for allocating a budget not only for bus needs but other services, including having a companion to takjil or snacks for travelers," he explained.

He added the existence of motorcycle transport services for travelers was also a very good innovation or breakthrough.

"This policy certainly deserves our appreciation that can reduce the use of motorcycles for long-distance commuting as it isn't recommended and there is a tendency to be more dangerous," he added.

No less important, this mudik program also provides a lot of job absorption.

"We need officers for the registration process of mudik, verification of companions, preparing takjil to loading and unloading these vehicles," he continued.

PT Muara Prima Organizer President Director, Tetty Aristya Wardani added his party was committed to carrying out the work as an event organizer for organizing the Jakarta Free Mudik 2023 as well as possible.

"We'll do the whole series of free mudik and motorcycle transportation activities as well as possible," she uttered.

According to her, it is a form of government assistance to its residents.

"Surely, we also want to be a part that can contribute positively to the residents. Hopefully, this free mudik and returning flow can run smoothly, as well as be successful and enjoyable," she hoped.
