Jakarta Wins Upakarti Award 2022

The Jakarta Provincial Government won the 2022 Upakarti award which consists of two categories of Service Services through PT Komatsu Indonesia (heavy equipment industry) from North Jakarta and PT Tatalogam Lestari (metal industry) from West Jakarta.

This award was given directly by Industry Minister, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, at Industry Ministry Building, South Jakarta.
Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (PPKUKM) Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, who was present at the agenda expressed her gratitude to the Central Government for giving appreciation to the Jakarta Government through the two Small and Medium Industry (IKM) companies.

In this agenda, Industry Minister, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said that the contribution of IKM to the national economy could be realized with the participation of the community and also concern for big industries.
"This award is expected to increase awareness, encourage motivation, and community initiatives, both individuals, institutions/organizations or companies to actively participate in the development and empowerment of small and medium industries in a bid to increase business opportunities and expand employment opportunities throughout Indonesia," he explained.
Aside that, he hoped that award recipients could participate and collaborate, and could become agents of triggering economic growth in the regions and together with other stakeholders to help develop and strengthen SMEs, thus they can play a bigger role in the national economy.
As for the information, the Upakarti award was intended as an award in the industrial sector given to parties who excelled, contributed, and actively carried out the development and or coaching of small and medium industries.
The awarding aims to raise awareness and encourage community initiatives, as a form of appreciation and motivation for individuals, institutions/organizations or companies that actively participate in the development and empowerment of small and medium industries in order to increase business opportunities and expand employment opportunities throughout Indonesia.
