City Secretary: Formula E Continues to Run with Business to Business Scheme

City Secretary, Joko Agus Setyono emphasized that the Formula E electric car race is carried out under a business to business (B2B) scheme between PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) and Formula E.

It is in accordance with what was conveyed by the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) during an audience with Jakarta Acting Governor Heru, last March.

"We, as the local government, welcome their business to continue, thus Formula E race can still be carried out in Jakarta with a B2B mechanism between the BUMD owned by Jakarta Provincial Government, namely Jakpro and Formula E," he expressed, at City Hall, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Monday (5/15).

Jakarta Ready for Second Formula E Race in June 2023

As the regional government that has the authority to manage Jakarta, the Government supports this event by granting permission to hold Formula E to be carried out in Jakarta.

It will be held in June this year at Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), Ancol, North Jakarta. Currently, Jakpro is making various preparations and ticket sales have been open for some time.

As for the information, the Formula E race does not use a budget from State Budget (APBN) or City Budget (APBD), but with a B2B scheme, such as sports tourism. It is in accordance with the direction of the President, Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono.
