Kopaja S 66 New Payment System Delayed

Trial revitalization of public transport with rupiah per kilometer payment system for Kopaja S 66 that served Blok M - Manggarai route that is scheduled in March 2015 unfortunately delayed.

At this moment, the system that will be also applied to the Integrated Border Transport Bus (APTB) is being negotiated between PT Transportasi Jakarta and the operator.

Land Transportation Organization Head (Organda) Jakarta, Shafruhan Sinungan explained, PT TransJakarta offered the rates to Kopaja operator by Rp 10,000 per kilometer. "Whereas Kopaja operator asked for Rp 13,000 per kilometer,” he said, Wednesday (3/4)

According to Shafruhan, similar condition also appears to APTB bus operator. "The negotiation is still running. The realization could be done in April," he added.

Kopaja Head, Nanang Basuki confirmed that the adjustment of payment system is still being negotiated. “Based on our calculation, PT Transportasi Jakarta must pay up to Rp 10,000,” he uttered.

Jakarta Transportation Department Head (Dishub), Benjamin Bukit added, the progress of the application system to APTB and Kopaja S 66 is still on component survey and fare calculation. “It could be realized in March or April lately,” he disclosed.
