Delayed City Budget Influenced School Renovation

The process of school renovation could not run due to the 2015 City Budget is not disbursed yet. At least there are 55 schools in Jakarta still waiting for continuation of total renovation from last year. Besides, 41 schools in serious damage will be totally renovated this year.

55 schools are in advanced renovation program from last year with budget around Rp 500 billions

Head of Facility and Infrastructure Section for Jakarta Education Department, Sarjoko said the implementation is still waiting for budget disbursement. He expected that the budget could be disbursed immediately thus the renovation last and this year could be implemented. Currently, many  prone damaged schools need renovation.

This Year, 3 Urban Village & 3 Sub-District Offices Renovated

"55 schools are in advanced renovation program from last year with budget around Rp 500 billions," said Sarjoko, when beritajakarta.com met him in his office, (3/5).

From those schools, 16 schools are located in East Jakarta. Besides , Jakarta Education Department will also build new classes in SMKN 48 and SMAN 97 East Jakarta. While this year, the renovation will be handled by Jakarta Housing and Government Buildings Department.
