Heru Serahkan 186 KDO Motor Listrik untuk Petugas Dishub

Acting Governor Hands Over 186 Electric Motorcycles to Jakarta Dishub

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) procured 186 units of battery-based two-wheeled operational service vehicles (KDO) this year.

This is also one of the steps to reduce CO2 emissions and their impact

The KDO will be distributed to the Transportation Sub-agency in five regions after a symbolic handover by Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono at the Jakarta Transportation Agency Office, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta on Friday (8/11).

According to Acting Governor, the electric motorbikes procurement within Jakarta Dishub is in accordance with Presidential Instruction Number 7/2022 on Use of Battery Electric Vehicles as Operational Service Vehicles and/or Individual Service Vehicles for Central Government Agencies and Regional Governments.

Jakarta Keeps Trying to Reduce Air Pollution in Capital City

"The local content is 53.37 percent for motorbikes. So all of them meet the requirements according to the President's order, preferably local content. Next, according to Presidential Instruction No. 7/2022 for the central government and regional governments to procure battery-based vehicles and today the Jakarta Government is gradually doing it. It includes helping to reduce exhaust emissions," he explained.

He added the two-wheeled, battery-based KDO with a total of 186 units used a regional budget by Rp 7 billion. Hopefully, the operation of this electric motor could increase public awareness of switching from oil-fueled (BBM) vehicles to electric/battery-based vehicles.

"Hopefully, all residents slowly switch to electric vehicles, I think the price is also not too expensive. This is also one of the steps to reduce CO2 emissions and their impact," he stated.
