18 Companies Take Part in Business Matching at Jakarta City Hall

The Jakarta Agency of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) is again holding Business Matching for Increasing the Use of Domestic Goods (P3DN) at Jakarta City Hall from October 16-19, 2023.

It is held to open up opportunities as widely as possible

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Allo said the business matching is held to prompt P3DN and the National Movement, Proud of Indonesian-made products (Gernas BBI) and reduce the use of imported products.

She explained products that have been produced by domestic industry must be purchased and used to meet needs and move the wheels of the domestic economy.

"Hence, it is held to open up opportunities as widely as possible, thus Indonesian products can be successful in their own country," she expressed when she opened the Business Matching for increasing the P3DN.

She went on to say that the industrial sector is one of the main drivers of Jakarta's economic development because it could make a significant contribution to increasing added value, employment opportunities, and increasing Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB).

"With Jakarta's vision of becoming a Global City, industrial empowerment in Jakarta keeps being intensified with a focus on high added value, including technology-based industries that do not require large areas of land, environmentally friendly industries, and creative industries," she continued.

Jakarta was also chosen to host the National Movement Proud to be Made in Indonesia and Proud to Travel in Indonesia (Gernas BBI and BBWI), which was officially opened in September 2023.

Therefore, she invited companies and participants of Business Matching to make the best use of this moment to introduce superior TKDN-certified products and ensure that domestic products are no less competitive than imported products.

"Let's support MSMEs by getting used to using local products to meet their daily needs," she stressed
