The Central Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-agency (Nakertransgi) is holding a job fair, offering 2,204 vacancies in the Thamrin City Mall, Tanah Abang.

It is held from November 8-9, 2023

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma said the Job Fair is an effort to minimize unemployment by bringing together job seekers and companies.

"It is held from November 8-9, 2023," he expressed, Wednesday (11/8).

Central Jakarta Nakertransgi Sub-agency Head, Sudrajat added the fair was participated by 40 companies, such as Anteraja, Sariling, Indomaret, Kawan Lama Group, Bluebird, Optik Melawai, Astrido, and Advan.

"Our target per day is 1,000 to 2,000 visitors," he explained.

Based on data from the Jakarta Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the open unemployment rate in Jakarta as of August reached 6.53 percent.

This figure has decreased compared to the previous year. Specifically in Central Jakarta, the open unemployment rate reached 5.88 percent with a total of 27,185 people.

"The Job Fair is one solution to reduce unemployment in Central Jakarta," he added.

Amir, (28), a resident of Tambora, West Jakarta admitted that he was excited to take part in this fair.

He learned information about this fair via the official Instagram social media belonging to the Central Jakarta Nakertransgi Sub-agency.

"I hope to get a better job according to my interests," he stated.
