Dinkes Guarantees Availability of Inpatient Rooms for Covid-19 Patients

The Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes) has confirmed that currently only five percent of the inpatient rooms for Covid-19 patients have been used or are still sufficient.

The use of new hospital beds is around five percent

Epidemiological Surveillance and Immunization Section Head, Ngabila Salama said the positive cases of Covid-19 which continued to increase in Jakarta were currently still very much under control.

"The use of new hospital beds is around five percent of the total available beds," she expressed, Tuesday (12/19).

Based on the data collected, 90 percent of positive Covid-19 cases were experienced by patients with Asymptomatic Person (OTG) status and mild symptoms.

"They only need to self-isolate for three to five days at home and will recover from Covid-19," she explained.

Her party had also provided the fifth dose of Covid-19 vaccination services on National Health Day (HKN) on December 17, 2023.

"The average injection of the fourth dose of vaccination in Jakarta is 200 doses per day," she explained.

Her party is currently also preparing 16,000 doses of NAVAC and INDOVAC brand vaccines. This vaccine is domestically made, halal, MUI certified, safe, and high quality.

Covid-19 vaccination is given to residents who are 18 and over and have an ID card throughout Indonesia.

"Covid-19 vaccination can't be given to under 18, pregnant, and breastfeeding women. The vaccination service is free of charge," she closed.
