Jalan Kramat Raya Dipasang MCB

MCB Installed on Jalan Kramat Raya

To reduce vehicle congestion from Senen toward Jalan Salemba, Central Jakarta Transportation had installed movable concrete barrier (MCB) on Jalan Kramat Raya from Central Jakarta police building to red light intersection Raden Saleh.

For the road instruction and U-turn signs will be installed later, we will monitor and evaluate the traffic for two weeks ahead together with Senen police officers

Based on beritajakarta.com, the barrier which bisects the road has a length about 100 meters.

Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department Head, Muslim said, the MCB was installed together with Senen Police ranks. The road should be split into two lines because the vehicles from Jalan Sentiong often go straight to Jalan Raden Saleh causing congestion.

MCB Installed on Jalan Ring Road Cengkareng

"So, the vehicle from Jalan Sentiong that want to go to Jalan Raden Saleh should go straight first and take the U-turn  at the Kenari or Indonesian University T-junction so they not cause long congestion," he explained, Tuesday (3/31).

Moreover, he added, after the MCB is installed, his side also held traffic engineering at the T-junction. The vehicles coming from Senen to Salemba can go straight directly, while the vehicle that want to go to Jalan Raden Saleh should pass the traffic light.

"For the road instruction and U-turn signs will be installed later, together with Senen police officers we will monitor and evaluate the traffic for two weeks ahead," he told.
