Seven RW BPS in Cibubur Receive Assistance with Infrastructure

Seven RW waste management bodies (BPS) in Cibubur Urban Village, received infrastructure assistance from the East Jakarta Environment Sub-agency.

It aims to meet waste sorting programs and waste banks in the environment

Cibubur Urban Village Economy and Development Section Head, Heru Kristianto said the seven RWs were RW 01, 02, 03, 04, 08, 12, and 14. Seven other RWs had already received assistance last year.

"The assistance provided consisted of garbage carts, composting bins, big wheeled garbage bins, and small garbage bins. Then composting bucket, EM4, waste weigher," he expressed.

BPS RW 01 Cibubur Chairman, Supriyanto said he said the assistance for infrastructure was received last Thursday (1/11) afternoon. Currently, the assistance is temporarily stored at the Damai Berseri Waste Bank and will be operational after the election.

"It aims to meet waste sorting programs and waste banks in the environment," he expressed.

With this assistance, the waste sorting program and waste bank in the area will continue to be improved to reduce the volume of waste disposed of at the Bantar Gebang Landfill, Bekasi, West Java.

Ciracas Sub-district Environment Executing Unit Head, Aline Jihan added this infrastructure assistance is the result of procurement by the East Jakarta LH Sub-agency last year. All of it had been distributed to five urban villages in his area.

Especially in Cibubur Urban Village, the assistance handed over was ten items, consisting of one unit of sitting scales for inorganic waste, one unit of hanging scales. Then there were two units of composter bins with 120 liters capacity, and two units of composter bins with 60 liters capacity. They were used for communal processing of organic waste.

Then, one unit of blue lidded trash with 80 liters capacity is used to accommodate organic waste by officers, one four-wheeled trash with 660 liters capacity is used for collecting organic waste and residue in the RW area.

Then one unit of waste cart is used to transport residents' waste to the TPS with five liters capacity plus 100 lids which are used for organic waste containers in households.

Aside that, 100 pieces of plastic sacks for collecting household inorganic waste which were taken to the waste bank and 2 bottles of M4 liquid, which is a bioactivator for processing compost.

"Today, we signed the handover of the goods from the Environment Sub-agency to the RW chairmen," he concluded.
