Lenteng Agung 3R Dump Site Construction Reaches 25 Percent

The construction of Reduce-Reuse-Recycle (3R) Dump Site on Jalan Joe, Lenteng Agung Urban Village, Jagakarsa Sub-district, South Jakarta has reached 25 percent. The construction was started in December 2023.

Head Section of Community Participant for South Jakarta Environment Sub-agency, Aditya Pamungkas, said the construction is cooperated with private sides such as Nestle and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

"The cooperation with other sides is good to invite community to participate in utilizing waste," he said, Monday (1/29).

He added that the construction of 1,800 square meter dump site is targeted to complete in April.

"The dump site will be able to manage 30-40 tons of waste," he added.

According to him, the waste will be sorted and chopped to get same result with Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Bantar Gebang. Then it can be bought by cement factory as fuel.

"I appeal the residents to sort the waste before sending it to the dump site," he closed.
