Sub-agency Head, Purwanti, said the improvement is run along 165 meters.

"We need to uncover the channel since it was closed by the residents. Moreover, many the channel concretes are broken," she said, Monday (1/29).

She added that the personnel replaced the u-ditch of the channel with size 60 cm x 60 cm x 120 cm.

"We deploy 15 personnel and one heavy equipment, also one crane to install the u-ditch," she added.

The channel improvement has been carried out in three weeks ago and is targeted to complete by the end of February 2024.

Anang Wardhani (49), resident of RT 12/05, Jembatan Lima Urban Village, thanked to the sub-agency and personnel for improving the channel.

"It is hoped the newly improved channel will minimize inundation during heavy rain," he hoped.
