150 Cipete Residents Participate in Free TBC Screening

As many as 150 residents of Cipete Selatan Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-district, South Jakarta attended the free TBC screening at RPTRA Taman Gajah.

The service involved 17 health personnel

Cipete Selatan Urban Village, Fuad, said the service was prioritized to residents who live in the same house or have direct contact with TB positive patients and the public.

"The service involved 17 health personnel of Cipete Selatan Community Health Center and Cakra Medika," he said, Monday (1/29).

Fuad explained that the health examination included measuring height and weight, Mantoux test, chest X-ray, thyroid gland examination, and Rapid Molecular Test (TCM).

"Local residents are enthusiast in participating the program. Previously, we conducted socialization through social media and environment care taker," he added.

Meanwhile, Tedi (40), one of the residents, admitted to taking part in screening as a form of early detection considering that the spread of TB can easily occur anytime and anywhere.

"Thanks God the examination result is good. Now I'll advance my healthy habit not only inside but also outside the house," he admitted.
