Joint Personnel Evacuate Fallen Tree in Pulogebang

As many as 25 joint personnel evacuate fallen tree on Jalan Komarudin, west side of JORR Toll Road, Pulogebang, Cakung, East Jakarta, Tuesday (1/30). The seven meter height tree with 50 cm of diameter fell on a public transport car.

East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifin, admitted his side deployed seven personnel assisted by PPSU, Fire Handling, and Transportation agencies.

"The tree was handled manually by using chainsaw," he admitted.

According to him, the tree fell on JakLingko public transport serving Pulogebang-Pinus Elok. The car was passing from Jalan Raya Hamengkubuwono IX heading to East Jakarta Mayor.

If the vehicle owner wants to submit a claim for compensation, said Djauhar, must make a report to the police. Then attach photo evidence of the incident and a letter of introduction from his party. Next, an application letter is sent to the Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency to obtain compensation.

"The compensation is under agency's authority," he added.

Meanwhile, East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Operation Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman, stated his side deployed four personnel.

It is suspected that this tree fell because its roots were so fragile.

"The tree fell during heavy rain and strong wind," he said.
