30 Peserta Akan Ikuti Pelatihan Tari Betawi

30 Participants to Take Part in Betawi Dance Training in West Jakarta

The West Jakarta Culture Agency is about to open free Betawi dance training from February 19 to March 1, 2024. The training will take place at the Cultural Arts Training Center Building (PPSB), Jalan Rama Raya, Rawa Buaya Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-district.

Participants are the general public aged 15-35 years

West Jakarta Culture Agency's Guidance Section Head, Agung Priosusanto said there were 30 participants in the training.

"Participants are the general public aged 15-35 years," he expressed, Thursday (2/15).

Free Driving Course Provided for Dropout Student

They would receive training in modernized Betawi dances such as Ronggeng dance, Nandak Ganjen dance, Sari flower symbol dance, etc.

"Hopefully, Betawi dance art can remain sustainable," he hoped.

Previously, to attract participants, the West Jakarta Culture Sub-agency since February 5, 2024 has shared information via Instagram @Sudinbudjakbar, and opened registration via the link, http://bit.ly.

Some of the requirements for participants include having a basic understanding and dance movements, residing in West Jakarta (proven by KTP/KIA), being committed to participating in training for ten working days (weekdays) during the training period.
