Staple Food Bazaar in Tanjung Priok Flocked by Residents

Cheap staple food bazaar held at Tanjung Priok Urban Village Office, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta was flocked by residents. The commodities were sold cheaper compared to the market.

The prices are cheaper compared to the market

Resident of Jalan Bak Air V, RT 14/13, Tanjung Priok Urban Village, Yuli (43), admitted happy to get chicken and cow meat with lower prices.

"I bought chicken meat, meat ball, nugget, and sausage. The prices are cheaper compared to the market," she said, Thursday (2/15).

Irawati (38), resident of RT 15/04, Tanjung Priok Urban Village, also stated the same. She needed to this market to fulfil her daily needs since the prices are lower.

"I hope this program can be held monthly," she stated.

Jakarta Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati, explained this bazaar prepared 1,000 packages. Other commodities such as chicken meat, cow meat, sausage, and nugget were prepared by 500 kilograms.

"Additional animal protein commodities from Perumda Dharma Jaya are able to cover resident's need ahead of fasting month and Eid ul fitr," she explained.

She makes sure animal protein commodities will remain exist in every staple food bazaar held in Jakarta. The commodities are sold Rp 24,900 for one kilogram of chicken meat and Rp 104,900 for one kilogram of cow meat.

"We always cooperate with related units related with commodities estimation for the bazaar," she added.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim, stated the bazaar is helping the resident much. It can bee seen from the number of buyers during the event.

"Not only staple food, the program also prepared chicken and cow meats from Perumda Dharma Jaya," he stated.
