East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar, opened cheap basic food market at Pasar Rebo Sub-district office, Wednesday (2/21). There were 1,000 packages sold by Rp 100,000 per package.
Anwar said that this program is held routinely in every urban village. The program is a synergy of Jakarta Provincial Government with PT Suri Nusantara Jaya. For today, the program was held in Pekayon Urban Village. One package consisted five kilograms ion rice, two liters of cooking oil, flour by one kilogram and sugar by one kilogram also.

Anwar added that one person is only able to buy one package.
Meanwhile, Pasar Rebo Sub-district Head, Mujiono, explained today’s program was focused for Pekayon Urban Village residents. Other areas already get social assistance such as in Cijantung and Gedong Urban Villages.
“Previously, we held similar program by cooperating with PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya. This program is very helping residents ahead of fasting month,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Raidah (45), one of residents, appreciated the program held in her area. Moreover, several basic need prices already go up.
“Thanks for the program. We can get cheaper basic need here,” she stated.
