Ciracas Sub-district Water Resource Personnel Coordinator, Deby, said the dredging is aimed to anticipate inundation since mud level has reached 30 cm, while the channel's depth is only 60 cm.

According to her, the dredging involved eight personnel equipped with manual tools. Personnel also entered inside water channel to dredge the mud.
"It is targeted to complete in two weeks," she added.
Ikhsan (49), one of local residents, appreciated the water channel dredging since inundation often occurs during heavy rain.
"We hoped there will be no more inundation during rain," he hoped.
