Inundation in Pejaten Timur and Rawajati Fully Recede

Inundation occurred in Pejaten Timur Urban Village, Pasar Minggu Sub-district and Rawajati Urban Village, Pancoran Sub-district, South Jakarta is fully recede.

South Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling Platoon Commander, Muhammad Nur, said water inundated residential on Jalan Rukun Ujung, RT 05/05, Pejaten Timur Urban Village by 80 cm was fully recede at 1:25 PM.

Jakarta Quickly Handles Inundation

"Inundation by 50 cm at RT 02, 03 and RT 04, RW 07, Rawajati Urban Village receded at 12:55 PM," he said, Monday (3/25).

According to him, the inundation was caused by high level of Ciliwung River since dawn then inundated the residential.

"We cooperated with related regional units to handle the inundation," he added.

Moreover, South Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling has disbursed cleanliness tools such as wiper, brush, broom, and so on for those two urban villages.

"The assistance is important to assist residents cleaning their houses," he continued.

Meanwhile, Acting Pejaten Timur Urban Village Head, Puji Meilita, explained 20 PPSU personnel were deployed to handle the post inundation.

"PPSU personnel were deployed to assist residents cleaning their area and houses," she explained.
