Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono and the ranks of the Jakarta Provincial Government, participated in the distribution of Zakat, Infaq, and Alms (ZIS) through the Jakarta Baznas Bazis, at Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (3/26).

Jakarta Baznas Bazis Chairman, Akhmad H Abubakar added his party prompted the Muzaki to become more confident that giving Zakat can help urban communities in urban areas who are less fortunate and provide opportunities for them to empower themselves and be free from the trap of poverty.
"This is done to facilitate the fulfillment and distribution of ZIS for ASN ranks and entrepreneurs/stakeholders," he explained.
On that occasion, he also handed awards to eight regional apparatuses for their dedication to collecting ZIS funds. In 2023, his party succeeded in collecting ZIS funds amounting to Rp 247,937,273,312 and distributing ZIS by Rp 241,870,371,264, with a total of 3,035,154 beneficiaries.
His party even won many awards. One of them was obtaining fair financial report audit results without exception (WTP) from the BPK.
"This achievement becomes our motivation to increase this year's collection target. So, we can expand our reach in providing optimal assistance to Mustahik through distribution programs of our ZIS," he explained.
As for the information, in the event, the national Baznas Bazis program was also symbolically handed over, namely house renovation assistance for memorizing the Qur'an, assistance with Jakarta Future (MDJ) education costs for needy students, and assistance with education costs for students with disabilities.
