Munjirin: Mosquito Nest Eradication Intensified

South Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin requested to his ranks to add mosquito nest eradication program from once two twice a week.

Munjirin said the policy must be taken to prevent dengue fever in South Jakarta. At this moment, highest case of dengue fever is in South Jakarta.

"We must intensify mosquito nest eradication program from once to twice or more a week. Dengue fever case is high in our area now," he said, Friday (3/29).

Munjirin also requested urban village and sub-district heads to give more attention for Jumantik cadre for checking/looking mosquito nest.

"Residents should be also become Jumantik cadre. Let's routinely check areas prone to puddle to avoid dengue fever," he added.

Meanwhile, South Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head, Yudi Dimyati, explained there are 221 dengue fever cases in South Jakarta. Next are 219 cases in West Jakarta, 114 cases in East Jakarta, 75 cases in North Jakarta, 50 cases in Central Jakarta, and two cases in Seribu Island.

His side asks resident to run mosquito nest eradication with 3M Plus (drain, close, recycle).

"We need residents' active role in fighting and prevent mosquito nest," he stated.
