West Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency (Tamhut) Head, Romy Sidharta has said that as many as 21 trees located in seven sub-districts had been pruned in order to follow up on residents' aspirations.

The branch had touched the electric cable and covered the traffic lights

"The branch had touched the electric cable and covered the traffic lights. Residents are also worried about falling or splintering. That's why we did the pruning," he expressed, Wednesday (4/17).

He stated the types of trees pruned were angsana (one tree) on Jalan Mangga Besar 76, Taman Sari Urban Village, Taman Sari Sub-district.

Then Angsana (four trees) and bintaro in Palmerah Sub-district, angsana (four trees) in Kembangan Sub-district, Kalideres Sub-district (two trees), and Gorgol Petamburan Sub-district (three trees).

There were also angsana (four trees) in Tambora Sub-district, and angsana (three trees) in Kebon Jeruk Sub-district.

"By doing so, the trees' burden will be reduced, thus trees can be prevented from falling or splintering," he stated.
