North Jakarta to Build Sport Facilities in RBU Park

The residents of Rawa Badak Utara (RBU) Urban Village, Koja Sub-District, North Jakarta proposed development of sport facility in RBU Park. An area of 3,400 square meters is considered sufficient to build sports facilities that can be used by residents.

The residents' need is our responsibility. If it possible, we will conduct the development by this year

Achmat (50), a resident of RW 08 Rawa Badak Utara Urban Village regretted the North Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-Department is not optimizing the function of the park for citizen interaction. Because of that, he hoped the RBU Park could be equipped by sport facilities. "The field often muddy and can't be used after rain. So we hoped the government to build facilities in the park," he told, Tuesday (4/21).

Achmat continued, the residents had proposed the facilities development since last 2014, but it has not been realized until now. "We hoped the North Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-Department could respond the residents' expectation because we need the facilities," he asked.

Situ Lembang Park Poorly Maintained

Furthermore, North Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-Department Head, Agustin Pudji Astuti responded positively the proposal. But, he hoped the resident could deliver the proposal through official letter.

"The residents' need is our responsibility. If it possible, we will conduct the development by this year," he said.
