Commission A Chairperson Appreciates South Jakarta Administration's Performance

"I appreciate all the explanations given and the proposals submitted by the Regent of Seribu Islands. The Seribu Islands is part of Jakarta, we support improving facilities and infrastructure, as well as infrastructure development here," he expressed, Friday (5/17).

He explained facilities and infrastructure that need to be improved include inter-island transportation in a bid to strengthen the mobility of residents and the surrounding economy.

"It will also encourage many investors to enter. Then, hospital services must also be improved, thus the people of the Seribu Islands feel well served and satisfied," he explained.

According to him, IT infrastructure and financial transaction services in Seribu Islands also still need to be improved.

"There was also input from Commission A group regarding transportation subsidies. We'll encourage this to support the needs of the community," he explained.

Seribu Islands Regent, Junaedi conveyed several developments and development plans from all sectors aimed at improving the welfare of residents and supporting the National Strategic Project (PSN).

"Currently, the RSUDs in Seribu Islands are type D, we want to upgrade it to type C. For the transportation sector, hopefully, there will be a ship transportation service between residents' islands to further facilitate the community's needs which have been difficult up to now," he explained.

Regarding waste handling efforts, so far it has been done manually by PPSU personnel who are always on standby considering that a lot of waste always comes when there is a west wind.

"Hopefully, it will be supported by a waste conveyor boat to make it easier to process existing waste. There is also the procurement of germors because the existing germors are damaged and do not last long," he hoped.

With this meeting, it could provide motivation as well as useful suggestions and input for the Seribu Islands area in the future.

"I would like to thank Commission A for visiting the Seribu Islands region. Hopefully, these suggestions and input can be realized, we ask for the support of legislators," he closed.
