TP PKK signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and counseling of stunting prevention for pregnant woman and bride-to-be together with Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Perumda PAM Jaya at RPTRA Anggrek, Bintaro urban Village, Pesanggrahan Sub-district.

The signing was held by DWP Perumda PAM Jaya Chairwoman, Lya Arief Nasrudin and South Jakarta TP PKK Chairwoman Essie Feransie Munjirin, also witnessed by South Jakarta Mayor Munjirin and Perumda PAM Jaya Director, Arief Nasrudin.

Munjirin thanked Perumda PAM Jaya for collaborating with South Jakarta especially in handling stunting.

"Today I am very happy that Perumda PAM Jaya is again providing its care to 271 of the 700 children suspected of stunting who are our target this year," he said, Tuesday (5/21).

Munjirin explained South Jakarta together with its ranks at city, sub-district, urban village and regional working units will intensify Foster Parents Movement for Stunted Children (Go Tuntas) in South Jakarta.

"It is hoped the collaboration will create zero stunting in South Jakarta," he added.

Meanwhile, DWP Perumda PAM Jaya Chairwoman, Lya Arief Nasrudin, explained assistance to eradicate stunting in South Jakarta was provided to 75 toddlers with under weight nutritional status including two complete meals and one snack for 25 days.

Then, 62 toddlers with malnutrition status were given two complete meals and one snack for 40 days, and 134 toddlers with stunted nutritional status were given additional nutritious food.

"Our focus this year is at five sub-districts including 12 urban villages. It is hoped the MoU signing will result positive result in stunting handling," she stated.
