Security Post in Batu Ampar Set Up to Prevent Brawls

An integrated security post was set up on Jalan Batu Ampar 3, RT 010/03, precisely in front of the SDN Batu Ampar 12 building, to prevent cases of brawls in residential areas, Batu Ampar Urban Village, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

Even if it does exist, it is not as bad as before

Batu Ampar Urban Village Secretary, Abdul Haris said the 2.3x3-square-meter security post is guarded by three pillars every Saturday night considering brawls often occur on weekends, involving dozens of teenagers and residents of other areas.

"The results are very effective, almost no more cases of brawls. Even if it does exist, it is not as bad as before," he expressed, Monday (6/3).

The post itself was also guarded by elements of society, such as RT/RW administrators, LMK, Karang Taruna FKDM, and Pokdar Kamtibmas.

Batu Ampar Urban Village Bimaspol Member, Aiptu Riyan assessed the integrated security post was very effective in preventing or minimizing the occurrence of brawls which usually occurred every weeknight at that location.

"Perhaps, this is because of the quiet area. But, now, it can be controlled after the post was set up," he explained.

RW 03 Batu Ampar Chairman, Abbas explained that on regular days, the post is guarded by residents from RT 09 and 10, starting from 9 PM to 4.30 AM.

"It was set up together with residents and urban village officials last April. Since then, there have been almost no more brawls," he closed.
