Cipayung Regional Hospital, Cipayung, East Jakarta held hospital disaster plan, Monday (6/3).

The program was participated by 40 employees ranging from medical services, medical support, PJLP and management under the coordination of the Occupational Safety and Health unit (K3).

Cipayung Regional Hospital Director, Eko Nugroho Budhi Prasetyo, said the program was held in order to upgrade knowledge and equipping employees regarding disaster mitigation systems.

Eko added that participants were taught about handling during an earthquake and techniques for lifting injured victims, as well as how to evacuate patients from each floor until they reached the designated gathering point. Apart from that, participants were also taught about the mechanisms of the disaster reporting system.

"This activity is to hone employees' sense of crisis," he added.

According to him, Cipayung Regional Hospital is subject to applicable regulatory provisions relating to disaster management. In addition to recommendations from the Hospital Accreditation Institute to be able to carry out scientific upgrades related to disaster prevention and management. For this, said Eko, his party is synergizing with the BPBD of DKI Jakarta Province.

"We must prepare human resources in a qualified disaster team. Prepare for all possibilities that may occur," he continued.

Eko explained that the Hospital Disaster Plan system at RSUD Cipayung has been equipped with various supporting infrastructure, such as ramps, emergency stairs, disaster teams per floor which are prepared every day through disaster boards, alarms, extinguishing systems and also standby disaster equipment on the first floor.

Meanwhile, Cipayung Regional Hospital's Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator, Maryanto, said all employees are required to understand and have the same capacity in handling disasters at Cipayung Regional Hospital.

Because what employees need to know is that natural disasters can happen to anyone. They don't know the victim, whether they are officials or ordinary people. Also disaster knows no place and time.

Maryanto stated that all supporting facilities and infrastructure owned by his party are up to standard, including generators, hydrants, MCFA, electricity, fire extinguishers and building alarms.

"It has been checked by East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue, and PJK3 which is recommended by Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency," he closed.
