Jakarta Provincial Government through Regional Revenue Board has again issued a regional tax relaxation policy in the form of eliminating administrative sanctions for Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and Motor Vehicle Title Transfer Fee (BBNKB) in order to make it easier for the public to pay off their tax obligations.

This policy is stated in the Decree of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Revenue Agency Number 426/2024 concerning the Elimination of Occupational Administrative Sanctions for Motor Vehicle Taxes and Motor Vehicle Title Transfer Fees.
Jakarta Regional Revenue Board Head, Lusiana Herawati, said the local tax relaxation policy in the form of eliminating administrative sanctions for PKB and BBNKB is issued to commemorate the 497th anniversary of the City of Jakarta and welcome the 79th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

"In the spirit of anniversary celebrations, the Regional Government wants to eliminate the burden of taxes that some residents may have felt, so that in this special moment, they can feel like paying taxes more easily," she said, Tuesday (6/11).
This policy is valid from June 11 to August 31, 2024 for administrative sanctions in the form of interest arising from late payment of tax owed and/or fines arising from late registration of motorized vehicles.
"People do not need to apply to get this policy because it is given automatically by the system when they make a payment," she added.
Lusiana explained that the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to ensure that every policy provided aims to improve the quality of life of residents. According to him, this anniversary celebration is a momentum for the Jakarta Bapenda to appreciate all Jakarta residents for their support and cooperation in paying regional taxes.
She continued that the people of Jakarta can also get this policy through the Samsat Outlet service at the Jakarta Fair (PRJ) which will be present again from June 12 to July 11, 2024 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
"PKB payments at the PRJ Samsat Outlet only apply to taxpayers who have PKB arrears of less than one year, and interestingly Taxpayers who pay here will get an exclusive souvenir," she explained.
