64 Pets in Johar Baru Receive Anti Rabies Vaccination

As many as 64 pets owned by RW 05 residents, Johar Baru Urban Village, Jalan Johar Baru IV A, Monday (7/1), received anti rabies vaccine. This program was held Central Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency at local RW office.

53 cats and 11 dogs

Central Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency's Animal Husbandry and Health Section Head, Herawati, admitted this program is the first time held in Johar Baru Sub-district this year.

"Other programs have been held in Tanah Abang, Menteng, and Senen Sub-districts," she said.

Those 64 pets, Hera added, were 53 cats and 11 dogs.

During 2024, she continued, 1,618 pets have received vaccine. Those are 1,286 cats, 313 dogs, 11 ferrets, and eight monkeys.

RW 05 Johar Baru Urban Village Caretaker, Kodir, appreciated this free vaccination program. He hopes this program will keep RW 05 Johar Baru Urban Village out of rabies.

"Hopefully our environment will remain free from rabies," he hoped.
