Pegadungan Residents Learn Danger of Fire

North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency keeps socializing and educating residents about the danger of fire. It is aimed to anticipate and reduce fire case.

Today, socialization and education was held at RPTRA Pegadungan, Jalan Kesetiaan VIII, RT 10/12, Pegadungan Urban Village, Kalideres Sub-district. It was participated by 50 residents.

"This activity is an effort to prevent fire cases, especially in the West Jakarta area," said Sartono, Pegadungan Urban Village Fire Handling and Rescue Taskforce Head, Thursday (7/4).

East Jakarta Intensifies Fire Socialization in 598 Locations

The program explained about the causes, prevention and handling of fires. Officers also practiced or held fire prevention simulations using light fire extinguishers (APAR) or wet jute sacks.

"We hope that residents will be more alert and prevent fires from spreading early," he added.

Nila Suhartini (50), resident of RT 04/03, appreciated the socialization and education held in her area.

"We support this activity because it is very beneficial for residents," she said.

The Beritajakarta team as the official news website for the Jakarta Provincial Government also used this opportunity to inform the Jakarta Provincial Government policies, new developments and various other educational and interesting content to the residents there.
