Heru Officially Opens Flona 2024 Exhibition

Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, officially opened Flora-Fauna (Flona) 2024 exhibition at Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, Friday (7/5). The exhibition will be held up to Friday (8/2).

Heru said the exhibition is held to enliven Jakarta's 497th Anniversary.

Heru hopes the activities will further strengthen Jakarta's vision of becoming an environmentally friendly global city. In the midst of development, Jakarta remains a global city that is green, beautiful and comfortable for the people.
"Thanks to Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency and related parties who already providing this exhibition," he added.
Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency Head, Bayu Megantara, explained the activity presents 165 stands. What's interesting is that the five cities and regencies in Jakarta display the uniqueness of each region at their stands.
Central Jakarta displays a replica of the STOVIA building, North Jakarta displays Kampung Tugu, South Jakarta displays Little Tokyo Blok M, West Jakarta displays the feel of China Town, East Jakarta displays the feel of Kampung Arab and the Seribu Islands displays Macan Island.
"To increase the greening of the city, during this one year period Jakarta has succeeded in adding 6,560,396 plantings of vegetation," he explained.
The additional vegetation consists of 246,631 protective and productive trees, 6,58,518 ornamental plants and 155,227 mangroves. The planting was carried out by elements of the central government, KLHK, TNI, Polri, BUMN, Jakarta Provincial Government, BUMD, private sector, community and national activists.
This year, his party also added green open space covering an area of 42,303 square meters or around 4.2 hectares from the results of the recapitulation of Social and Facilities in Jakarta with a total value of more than Rp 353 billion. Then the addition of green open space covering an area of 5.1 hectares by carrying out construction and arrangement of areas in 24 green open spaces.
