Second Wave of First Verification Completed, KJP Plus to Be Disbursed Today

Acting Jakarta Education Agency Head, Budi Awaluddin, said total recipients of KJP plus phase I funds are 533,649 students. There are two waves of KJP Plus phase I disbursement, the first wave is distributed to 460,143 recipients, while the second wave is 73,506 recipients.

"All KJP Plus phase I recipients are students from verified disadvantaged groups. We are committed to continuing to ensure that the disbursement of social assistance funds in the education sector is right on target," he said.

He added that the KJP Plus program is dynamic, adapting to the economic conditions of the community so that the number of recipients fluctuates, depending on their social status and economic income which will continue to be updated regularly.

"For certain circles, perhaps the value is not much. However, for poor people, KJP funds are very valuable. I hope it can be maximized for children's education, so that the family's future can be more prosperous through the success of children's education," he added.

Budi explained that the determination of recipients would always be evaluated and verified by involving a joint team from various relevant stakeholders such as the Population and Civil Registration Agency, Child Protection Empowerment and Population Control (PPAPP), the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), and the Social Service (Dinsos) of Jakarta Province.

"It is hoped KJP Plus social assistance is able to increase human resource quality in Jakarta," he stated.
