North Jakarta Residents Receive KAJ, KLJ, and KPDJ Assistance

The North Jakarta administration together with the Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos) and Bank DKI, distributed social assistance from Jakarta Children's Cards (KAJ), Jakarta Elderly Cards (KLJ), and Jakarta Persons with Disabilities Cards (KPDJ) at the Intiland Teduh RPTRA, Semper Barat, Cilincing.

North Jakarta City Secretary, Abdul Khalit said the distribution of KAJ, KLJ and KPDJ is a program to meet basic needs in promoting the social welfare of the community.

"Today, in Semper Barat, we distributed 92 cards consisting of KAJ, KLJ, and KPDJ. This card is distributed specifically to new recipients," he said, Friday (7/26).

All this time, the Jakarta Government has been trying to improve the welfare of the community, such as this social assistance. Therefore, recipients are urged to make good use of the social assistance they have received.

"Make the best use of this assistance, such as food or clothing needs. We don't want any more children to be malnourished or stunted," he explained.

Social Protection Sub-Group for Natural Disaster Victims Chairman, Munasroh explained the recipients were selected from the results of urban village deliberations using Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) which had been combined with data from the Dukcapil Agency and the Jakarta Bapenda, thus it was right on target.

"In North Jakarta, there are 13,110 recipients of social assistance, consisting of 2,486 for KLA, 9,295 for KLJ, and 1,329 for KLDJ. Today, distribution was also conducted simultaneously in all urban villages throughout North Jakarta," he explained.

He added this social assistance was provided in the form of cash via Bank DKI ATMs worth Rp 300,000 per month and would be disbursed for six months from January to June 2024.

"Besides new recipients, old recipients have also started to be disbursed. Hopefully, with this social assistance, residents can prosper and have a sense of happiness when living in Jakarta," he hoped.

One of the residents from RT 01/10, Semper Barat, Mulyani (63), he was grateful to the Jakarta Government for continuing to provide attention and family welfare to residents. She would use it to meet daily food needs.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), very happy and proud to be a resident of Jakarta. I'm a new recipient and have never had one before. Hopefully, this assistance continues," she stated.
