"All vaccinated animals have been declared healthy, not sick or pregnant, and are old enough," she said, Wednesday (7/31).

Lidya explained the vaccination program was held door to door.

"Our personnel directly visited resident's houses to ease them," she explained.

She added that it is hoped that animals and their owners will remain healthy. So, Jakarta can maintain its rabies-free status.

"It is important for pets owner to maintain animal health by doing anti rabies vaccination. Then cats need to be sterilized to handle its population," she added.

Meanwhile, one of Karet Urban Village residents, Soni (28), said this program eases pets owner of getting anti rabies vaccine freely.

"Hopefully this program can be run routinely, or once a year," he stated.
