Area of Jalan Sadar IV Petojo Utara Being Arranged

The Gambir Sub-district, Central Jakarta is arranging the area on Jalan Sadar IV, RT 04/04, Petojo Utara Urban Village, which is an initial stage to demolish illegal buildings and PKL stalls standing atop the water channels and green belts.

Traders have agreed to be relocated

Gambir Sub-district Vice Head, Agus Tri said the demolishment involved 70 joint personnel from Satpol PP, PPSU, SDA, Bina Marga, and Environment. Prior to the demolishment, socialization had been held at PKL, including coordination with Petojo Hilir Market caretakers for relocation.

"Traders have agreed to be relocated. But, they requested for a condition that after the relocation, no one should be allowed to come onto the streets again," he expressed, Wednesday (8/7).

After it is done, they will soon be relocated and continued with area planning.

Petojo Utara Urban Village Head, Dipta Dwi Kusuma added that as many as 120 traders occupied this road area. Most of whom sold vegetables, groceries, culinary, and others.

After the relocation stage, area planning will continue. Hence, today's operation could be completed today.

"We will send personnel to the location in order to block PKL along the roadside," he closed.
